anette’s chocolates: napa

project details

For over 30 years, Anette and Brent Madsen have been running Anette’s Chocolates in downtown Napa, delighting customers with their chocolate-inspired creations. When tasked with redesigning their retail space to fit a smaller footprint, zero ten design aimed to balance functionality with Anette’s vision for a fresh, modern update. A custom wood wall, inspired by dripping chocolate, provides a dramatic and playful backdrop behind a monumental, yet gently curving “altar” for chocolate. This setup not only showcases the full range of artisan specialties but also creates a natural flow that invites customers to explore the space.
