bun mee: sfo terminal one

project details

Bun Mee at SFO Terminal One is another installment of this popular San Francisco fast-casual restaurant serving up a modern interpretation of Vietnamese street food. This Bun Mee is one of the first and most prominent restaurants that travelers encounter when entering SFO’s recently remodeled departures terminal.

The design continues the graphic intensity of Bun Mee’s other outposts, with custom large-format murals screen-printed on large concrete wall tiles, reminiscent of graffiti, elevated as an art and signage wall. Additionally, this location picks up on the rustic and simple elements found in other Bun Mees: exposed wood, corrugated metal, raw stone, but brightens them up so that they coexist with the modern, light palette of SFO’s Terminal One.
