Project Juice followed up their successful launch into the world of superfood and smoothies on Valencia St. by venturing into the market hall scene in The Market at Market Square, a communal food hall in the landmark San Francisco art deco building that is also home to Twitter headquarters.
STORY
Located in the back corner of the food hall adjacent to the Stevenson St. pedestrian alley, the space provided a unique design challenge with a location that was open on three sides. The material elements of Valencia St. carried over seamlessly, where the stained pine slat walls were re-imagined as beams that span across the existing concrete columns, helping to define the open ended space into an inviting and cozy corner of the food hall.
Our previous experience with the design and creation of market halls such as the Ferry Building in San Francisco and Oxbow Public Market in Napa, along with many subsequent tenant designs into those venues, helped us to create a vibrant shop for Project Juice that not only speaks to their wellness mission, but also contributes positively to the overall communal food hall experience.
